From Part to Field: SV PRO Optimizes Its Logistics with STERNE’s Night Network

De la pièce au champ : SV PRO optimise sa logistique avec le réseau de nuit STERNE

The dealer SV PRO, a specialist in John Deere agricultural equipment in Burgundy (France), has entrusted Groupe STERNE with the daily transportation of spare parts between its sites. Thanks to overnight shuttles, technicians have the parts they need as soon as the workshops open, reducing idle stock and streamlining logistics.

Operating across several departments in the region, SV PRO has been supporting farmers since 1962, with nearly 100 technicians and a stock of 60,000 references. Fast supply is essential: a machine out of service during harvest or sowing can quickly affect production.

STERNE’s Access Direct network currently serves 12 sites, with daily shuttles running from 6 p.m. pickup to delivery before 8 a.m. the next day—approximately 1,100 parcels per month. Each base can quickly source parts from another site, ensuring flows are adapted to field needs.

Beyond logistical performance, SV PRO emphasizes the quality of its human relationship with STERNE: dedicated contacts, responsive drivers, and adaptability to unforeseen events ensure service continuity even during peak season.

The partnership is evolving rapidly: the number of sites served is expected to rise to 18, with additional optimizations planned, including stock sharing, use of reusable containers, and geographic expansion to keep pace with the dealer’s growth.
