Skillington Quarry Thrives with Develon Heavy Equipment

Skillington Quarry, near Grantham, Lincolnshire, has gone from grassy field to fully operational limestone site in under six months, thanks to Develon’s DX490LC-7 crawler excavator and DL580-7 wheel loader. Owned by Heritage Quarry Group (North) Ltd, the quarry holds over ten million tonnes of limestone, securing a long-term supply for regional markets.

The DX490LC-7 handles bulk loading to mobile crushers, while the DL580-7 ensures fast, reliable truck loading and material handling. Together, they boost efficiency, reduce downtime, and accelerate production.
