Monumental Deconstruction at Port Édouard Herriot in Lyon
An extraordinary project is currently underway at Port Édouard Herriot. On the Groupe Oxyane site, the Cardem Centre-Est teams are dismantling eight 32-meter silos and a 43-meter tower, showcasing the group’s technical expertise and operational capabilities.
In total, 20,000 tons of concrete and 700 tons of steel will be recycled, reflecting a sustainable and environmentally responsible approach to deconstruction. The asbestos removal from the fiber-cement roofs is being carried out by long-standing partner SOTRIMO Désamiantage, ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.
Over six months, the teams will deploy their expertise to complete this complex operation, combining safety, precision, and material recovery.
