Liebherr Delivers New Machines to Northern Star Resources

Liebherr Australia commissioned eight new machines in July 2025 for Northern Star Resources at two of its sites in Western Australia. These units complement the five PR 776 bulldozers delivered in February 2025. The latest delivery includes three PR 776 bulldozers and three 100-ton R 9150 G7 excavators for the Kalgoorlie Super Pit, as well as a 400-ton R 9400 G6 and an R 9150 G7 for the Bannockburn operation. An additional R 9150 G7 is planned for the Kalgoorlie Super Pit before the end of the year.

Machines to Support Production
“This delivery strengthens the adoption of Liebherr equipment in Western Australia’s Goldfields,” said Matthew Gibson, Key Accounts Manager at Liebherr Australia. “The R 9150 meets the demands of modern gold mining, while the PR 776 complements our regional presence.”

Liebherr’s local facility in Kalgoorlie makes it easier to supply parts and services, enabling customers to keep machines operational and optimize performance. The PR 776 bulldozers and R 9150 excavators are equipped with Liebherr’s D9512 V12 engine, ensuring durability and efficiency on site.

Strengthening Presence in the Goldfields
Liebherr Australia plans to deliver an additional R 9150 this year, bringing the total number of machines in Northern Star Resources’ fleet to 18.
