Hitachi Construction Machinery is stepping up its innovation game with a $3 million (€2.6 million) investment in Rithmik Solutions, a company specializing in AI-driven analytics for mining equipment.

Smarter Data, Smarter Machines
Rithmik Solutions uses AI to analyze machine operations, offering actionable insights to boost productivity and reduce fuel consumption—helping mining companies meet their environmental targets. During a year-long trial completed in July 2025, its systems collected data from six large hydraulic excavators and forty haul trucks, comparing it against theoretical benchmarks. By identifying deviations, the technology improves anomaly detection and enhances predictive maintenance systems.
